  • Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

    Ever wondered how to effectively fight off a bigger opponent on the ground? Do you have the competitive spirit and love to compete? Are you searching for a weekly workout thats both challenging as it is exciting? If you answered yes, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is your answer! Our BJJ classes focus on all of the basic principles of ground fighting as well as today's most cutting edge advanced techniques. You will learn the best ways to subdue a larger and stronger opponent by incorporating devastating armlocks, chokes, sweeps, reversals, and escapes. Whether you are a beginner or experienced grappler, in your teens or an adult, our classes are great for both self-defense and or sport. Our curriculum is geared to teach you jiu jitsu for both recreational purposes and or a serious competitive edge. Benefits include gained confidence, a sense of discipline, a total body workout, increased fitness levels in both cardio / strength conditioning and weight loss all from a regimented training program you can depend on. We join all levels of fitness and Jiu Jitsu expertise all in the same class, thus, allowing everyone to train with each other as a team, as a family. Every class is taught by a certified instructor in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, under Wellington “Megaton” Dias and Royler Gracie.

  • Muay Thai Kickboxing

    Developed in Thailand, Muay Thai is the essential art in our stand-up striking training curriculum. Also known as the “Art of Eight Limbs,” Muay Thai utilizes punches, kicks, elbows, and knees and is known for its overwhelming striking power. Our Thai boxing classes are based on the traditional as well as the modern fundamentals of the national sport. They are high intensity classes where you will use shadow boxing, heavy bag work, focus mitts, Thai pads, conditioning, and light contact sparring as the basis to your workout. Students learn how to use footwork, punching and kicking techniques with precise mechanics, to effectively block, evade and strike their opponent. The use of knees and elbows as essential weapons are also explained in detail. Along with the fundamentals of proper technique, the use of speed and power are taught to aid in the delivery of devastating strikes. As you advance, you will develop a solid base of Muay Thai techniques, as well as a conditioned body...a key element to correct training! Advanced techniques and strategies will develop from your Muay Thai base Although high intensive, the classes have a friendly and motivating atmosphere to help develop you both physically and mentally. Safety is a top priority at MLCS and proper control is emphasized during all of our training.

  • Mixed Martial Arts

    We are located at 1111 SE Stephens st., Portland. The new facility is over 3000 sq. ft. with a large garage door in the main training area, changing room, shower, and over 2000 sq. ft. of mat space.   • Strength, Fitness and Conditioning

    The Warrior Challenge is a group class incorporating circuit, plyometrics, kettle bell, Ginastica Natural, pilates, agility, and Olympic weight training. It is a  progressive training course which constantly challenges your body in a fun and friendly environment. The high intensity work out uses balance, agility, and strength conditioning with emphasis on proper technique. Our goal is to improve your overall fitness using every day movement.    We search all the farthest reaches on earth to come up with the WOD (workout of the day). Using yesterdays strong man techniques to todays trendy Cross training favorites, we make sure every class is as different as it is challenging. With each class we incorporate the COD (Challenge of the day), this is either a game or some physically demanding exercise sure to test your strength and conditioning on the daily. For those of us that don't do martial arts or any other sports, the COD is sure to keep your body up to date with it's peak performance. Though you are allowed to work at your own pace... Our trainers are always there to push you, making sure you're giving... Nothing But Your Best. Whether your the average outgoing soccer mom, the weekend couch potato or the hardcore cross fitting junkie, the WC is sure to help you reach your goals.

  • Kids Classes

    Our Megamites Kids Training program is designed to offer developing minds and bodies a fun and safe environment in which they can learn self-confidence, self-respect and discipline, in addition to our kid-specific system of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Thai boxing and self-defense. Classes combine the basics of BJJ and Muay Thai with age-appropriate tasks, exercises and activities such as obstacle courses and skill-oriented games that focus on the children’s accomplishments, both as individuals and as a team. Students will learn the value of sportsmanship, teamwork, good behavior and etiquette, all while improving their coordination, concentration, strength, agility and their overall fitness level. Kids will be tested according to the guidelines of the brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation. This is done, with the promotion of a higher colored belt. Once the child has been promoted he can then move on to another set of the curriculum that is set at his/hers level. Our Program not only allows, but encourages the kids to participate in year round tournaments. These classes are not belt buying programs! and There are no testing fees!
